Job Description

The Head of Product will play a pivotal role in driving the vision, strategy, and execution of our engineering and CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) solutions. This role requires a dynamic leader who can navigate cross-functional teams, ensure product alignment with company strategy, and deliver state-of-the-art solutions that meet customer needs. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing or productizing CAE solvers or have extensive experience in engineering optimization, FEA (Finite Element Analysis), or PDE (Partial Differential Equations) solutions.

This position offers the flexibility to work from any geographical location within the United States and will require the ability to coordinate with teams across different time zones, including Indian Standard Time. We encourage applications from all gender identities and underrepresented communities in tech.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cross-Departmental Coordination:
    • Serve as a strategic link between the CTO and various technical teams such as Optimization, HPC, and Software.
    • Ensure clear communication and alignment on product and project objectives across departments.
    • Facilitate collaboration between Product and R&D teams to promote innovation and project success.
  2. Customer Engagement & Requirements Management:
    • Oversee customer engagement projects to ensure that customer needs are accurately translated into actionable technical deliverables.
    • Collaborate with the Business team to define clear and actionable requirements from customer feedback and convert them into tasks for the technical teams.
    • Maintain close relationships with key customers to ensure product development is in line with market expectations.
  3. Project Delivery Management:
    • Manage project timelines, scope, and quality standards to ensure timely and successful delivery of customer projects and internal product initiatives.
    • Address potential bottlenecks between technical and product delivery teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  4. Product Strategy & Roadmap Development:
    • Collaborate with the CTO to define and implement product strategies and roadmaps.
    • Align product and feature releases with company R&D vision, customer requirements, and industry trends.
    • Drive innovation and competitive advantage by identifying emerging trends and opportunities in CAE, engineering optimization, and related fields.
  5. Risk Management & Issue Resolution:
    • Proactively identify and mitigate risks in product development and customer projects.
    • Resolve conflicts between product and technical teams to maintain project integrity.

Educational Qualifications:

  • PhD or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, any Engineering discipline, or a field related to Mathematical Optimization.

Preferred Background:

  • Experience in developing or productizing CAE solvers.
  • Strong understanding of engineering optimization, FEA (Finite Element Analysis), or PDE (Partial Differential Equations) methodologies.
  • Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) and numerical simulation technologies.
  • Proven track record of managing technical projects and leading cross-functional teams in the CAE or engineering simulation domain.

Personal Attributes:

  • Leadership & Vision: Ability to inspire and guide technical and product teams towards a common goal, while maintaining a strategic outlook.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: A solution-oriented mindset, with the capacity to think critically and address challenges proactively.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work across multiple time zones, especially coordinating with teams based in India.
  • Empathy & Team Collaboration: A collaborative approach that values different perspectives and promotes a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Ability to translate customer needs into technical strategies and ensure product success in alignment with customer expectations.
