Description
Fairfield Inn & Suites is seeking a talented and customer-focused Bartender to join our team in Littleton, CO. The Hotel Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. This role requires excellent customer service skills, extensive knowledge of drink recipes, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Guest Service:
    • Greet guests promptly with a warm and friendly demeanor.
    • Take beverage orders from guests.
    • Provide recommendations and answer questions about drink selections.
  2. Drink Preparation:
    • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
    • Mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
    • The bartender is responsible for serving alcohol responsibly, which includes refusing service to individuals who have had too much to drink and verifying customer check identification to ensure customers meet legal age requirements for alcohol consumption.
  3. Bar Maintenance:
    • Maintain a clean and organized bar area.
    • Stock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
    • Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
    • Ensure the bar complies with all health and safety regulations.
  4. Cash Handling:
    • Process payments from guests using cash, credit cards, or room charges.
    • Balance cash receipts and transactions at the end of each shift.
  5. Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other hotel staff members to provide a seamless guest experience.
    • Communicate effectively with team members and management.
  6. Additional Duties:
    • Participate in bar staff meetings and training sessions.
    • Assist with bar promotions, events, and special occasions.
    • Handle guest complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience as a bartender in a hotel or high-volume establishment is preferred.
Skills:
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages, cocktails, and drink recipes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic math and cash handling skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (up to 25 lbs).
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Certification in bartending or mixology is an asset.
  • Must meet state and local age requirements for serving alcohol.
  • Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification may be required.
Working Conditions:
  • This position may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • The work environment is typically loud and busy.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and transport items up to 25 lbs.
