Position: Linux Systems Engineer
Clearance Level: Active DoD Secret Clearance Required
Location: San Diego, CA (Kearny Mesa) - 5 days per week onsite
Compensation: 50-70/hour depending on experience
Duration: 12 month contract, potential conversion or extensions
Desired Experience
- Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelors of Science in Engineering or a related field with 6 years of experience in systems administration/engineering (Additional years of experience may be acceptable in lieu of experience)
- In-depth knowledge of design, implementation, troubleshooting and sustainment of Linux operating systems
- Proficiency in Ansible and Bash scripting
- Experience implementing STIGs
Day to Day
Insight Global is looking for a Secret Linux Systems Engineer local to San Diego, CA. This person will be fully onsite and joining an existing team of system administrators and engineers. This person will be an expert in classified and unclassified Linux environments and capable of design, implementation, troubleshooting, and sustainment. The ideal candidate will have experience scripting in Bash and executing deployments using Ansible. This person should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and a strong communicator to collaborate with other teams.
