The IACS Senior Analyst will support the IACS team in a timely and efficient manner. The candidate will carry a reduced caseload and assist the manager in overseeing the daily activities of the IACS team to ensure accurate and timely processing of all assigned tasks. . The Senior Analyst will assist in providing coaching, direction, and on-the-job training to the team. The Senior Analyst will also be the first point of escalation and problem resolution and will support necessary activities for new client implementations.Essential Duties Include Some the Following:Prepare and audit complex cost projections, letters of assignment, compensation balance sheets, certificate of coverage, and conduct self-reviews of all deliverables using checklistsPerform a self-audit targeting 100% accuracyUnderstand and explain basic tax queries on cost projections; know when to enlist the client’s tax provider for guidanceDemonstrate advanced knowledge of Word and Excel including V-lookups, pivot tablesInterpret client policies and apply benefits based on the policiesExhibit advanced knowledge of merge templates and report writing and running Cognos reportsLiaise with Cartus International Assignment Consultants to initiate, update and cease assignment allowances for international assignees. Also serve as a second level escalation of payroll instruction form Payroll Instruction Form (PIF) issues.Understand and explain as needed to client contact, compensation analysts, and Cartus consultants, fluctuations of exchange rates and index and how that affect the cost of living allowancesAssist L&D in training International Assignment Consultants on IACS processesUnderstand the concepts of payroll processing including client specific payrolls, split payrolls, goods and services spendable, social taxes, hypo taxes, and gross up calculationsPrepare and maintain the Compensation Accumulation Tool (CAT) and tracking tool and update mappings as neededCoordinate yearend process with client, Cartus, tax providers and prepare all necessary reports, presentations, job aid documents, timelines, and authorization lists. Monitor progress throughout the yearend cycle and handle all communication and queries coming from tax providers or other internal departments.Prepare and provide presentations over the phone or in person to client contacts as needed related to payroll, compensation accumulation, or any other deliverable.Train client on Cartus processesManage workflow and communication among team members to ensure customer and client requirements are metHandle service delivery issues/service breaks and serve as first level escalation for teamIdentify and implement process and procedural improvements as approved by managerManage day-to-day higher level tasks for team, including data audits, complex cost projections, payroll reconciliations, etc.Oversee and perform calculations for unusual or exception situationsInteract with client and internal departments on technical issues as they arise; serve as a liaison with internal Cartus departments to ensure effective working relationshipsIdentify and coordinate IACS training needs, including on-the-job technical trainingManage external provider relationships to ensure accurate and effective services integrationIn conjunction with the Manager, direct and evaluate daily work performance of staff; make staffing level recommendations to Manager; co-manage daily performance, and provide regular feedback and coaching to team membersBuild complex calculations used for the automation of our cost projections and understand and write SQL statements needed for the automation of our deliverablesParticipate in special projects and other duties as requiredPrepare billing as necessary and understand the impact of the financial impact of client’s service level agreementsTo qualify for the role you must have:Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in related field preferred (Accounting, Economics, Math, International Business, Human Resources Management) or similar work experience3 to 5 years of working experience preferable in the field of global mobility, accounting, payroll, compensation, international human resources, or tax experience in a multinational corporationAdvanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Programs, especially ExcelSystems proficiency and demonstrated ability to learn new technical systemsPossess strong organization, planning and analytical skillsStrong aptitude for numbersStrong written and verbal communication skillsProactive and possess strong problem solving skillsDemonstrated leadership skillsStrong interpersonal, communication, influencing, and team building skills requiredAbility to document processesNatural curiosity about how processes work and whyDemonstrated competency of Analyst I and II job responsibilities and knowledgeIdeally, you’ll also have:Knowledge of Cartus products and services highly desirableUnderstanding of world affairs, geography and economic issuesLanguage skills or international living/working experience Knowledge of foreign assignment matters (payroll, accounts payable, relocation, tax, and compensation and benefits)Preferred SQL coding and VBA knowledge with ability to write macrosCore Competencies:Strong analytical, judgment, and decision making skillsStrong detail and deadline orientedClient and customer service orientedQuality assurance focusStrong organization, planning, and prioritization skillsExcellent communication skillsExerts influence on teamTeam player and be able to motivate teamFlexible and ability to multi-task and perform under pressureInitiative and creativityMentoring and training skillsSelf-motivated and able to work independentlyTechnology skillsConflict management skillsCartus ( is leaning into its essence, Where Mobility Meets Agility®.
