Job Description:
This job is responsible for building and leading an organization to deliver technology products and services that meet strategic business outcomes. Key responsibilities include enabling the portfolio strategy by setting strategic technology outcomes, creating a resource and people development strategy, managing the financial and resource plan, advocating and advancing organizational agility, improving end-to-end processes, and promoting learning and improvement. Job expectations may include coaching, mentoring, and driving leadership succession planning and development of employees.
The Technology Asset and Service Configuration Management (TASCM) Executive will be responsible for establishing and overseeing a comprehensive TASCM program that ensures the accuracy, completeness, and accessibility of IT asset and service configuration data. This role involves ensuring the efficient and effective management of all technology assets, from procurement through to retirement, and maintaining an accurate configuration management database to support IT Service Management (ITSM) processes. Additionally, this role will be responsible for enabling operational efficiency, streamlining IT service delivery, and supporting informed decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic TASCM program aligned with industry best practices and business needs.
- Manage and maintain a centralized Configuration Management Database (CMDB) containing accurate and up-to-date information on all IT assets, services, and configurations.
- Define and implement processes for IT asset discovery, classification, validation, and lifecycle management.
- Establish and maintain a catalog that accurately reflects all IT services offered and the configuration of those services and service components.
- Oversee IT asset and configuration processes to ensure all inventory changes are controlled, documented, tracked, and implemented with minimal disruption.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, data ownership and accountability within technology teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure TASCM practices support business objectives.
- Lead a team of TASCM professionals, providing coaching and mentorship.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in TASCM.
- Manage relationships with business and technology executives/sponsors and vendors for technical products and understand the work deliverables and performance of the Technology Management team by following outcomes from business and client feedback.
- Create an inclusive and healthy working environment and help to resolve organizational impediments/blockers by sponsoring opportunities that improve processes, staying close to teams and their experiences, and identifying new opportunities to enhance efficiency and gain a competitive advantage.
- Conduct portfolio level resourcing and financial management activities, establish target outcomes through objectives and key results, track strategic technology outcomes aligned to the portfolio strategy, and promote the organization and its resources to achieve them.
- Facilitate performance and career development of teams through performance reviews, coaching, and creating development plans that are needed to build competencies and skills.
- Establish a culture of risk and compliance management, ensuring the organization is compliant with all applicable policies and standards.
- Ensure that execution is aligned with Portfolio strategy by working with Portfolio Product Executives and other value stream stakeholders.
- Manage procurement, vendor evaluations, and negotiating vendor contracts for technical products and services for the organization.

Required Qualifications:
- Strong presentation skills: ability to present key messages, recommendations and information in a clear, concise and insightful way.
- Strong relationship-building skills: ability to effectively lead across the organization, build effective relationships.
- Experience with ITIL or other relevant IT service management frameworks (e.g., COBIT, FFIEC).
- Certifications: IAITAM Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) or related certifications; ITIL4 Foundations; CMDB Implementer (CMDBI); ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- Must be analytical, organized and have the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills to deliver insights and recommendations to senior management.

Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with IAITAM (International Association of Information Technology Asset Managers) best practices (a plus).
- Experience working with ServiceNow and the common services data model.
- Understanding of FFIEC guidelines for IT Asset Management.
