Job Title: Data Discovery and Data Access Governance Architect
Location: Phoenix, Austin or South Lake (Dallas) in USA
Role and Responsibilities:
Key Skills:
- Knowledge/expertise of implementing Data Discovery tools like Securiti.ai, Varonis, BigID, Microsoft MIP Scanner, etc.
- Drive Data Discovery projects and lead technical efforts to implement the tool and perform Data Discovery.
- Strong understanding of Data Access Governance.
- Experience with tools like Varonis, Stealthbits, etc.
- Strong knowledge of Data Discovery solutions, Data Access Governance, and Data Classification technologies.
- Implementation of industry-leading practices around Data Discovery & Data Access Governance technology for clients.
- Data Access Governance Skills required:
- Track which folders have open access and remediate periodically.
- Identify where regulated data is stored and assess associated risks.
- Find and report stale data to limit the risk of exposure of sensitive data.
- Repair and maintain file system permissions to reduce vulnerabilities to internal and external threats.
- Good knowledge of different Data Types like PII, PCI, Data Discovery policies, different storages, Structured and Unstructured Data.
- Ability to create regex to identify custom data types.
- Ability to understand and create different data discovery use cases.
- Ability to create Data Inventory and Asset registers.
Additional Skills:
- Understanding of Data Privacy requirements (like DSAR, GDPR, CCPA).
- Knowledge of Data Classification.
- Communicate with internal and external resources to ensure all Data Discovery requirements for the customer.
- Troubleshoot issues that may arise from incomplete scans, scan-related performance issues, agent-related performance issues, and network traffic-related performance issues; create customer tickets and manage problems until closure.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge & work experience of Data Discovery.
- Knowledge & work experience of Data Access Governance.
- Hands-on experience implementing any Data Discovery & Data Access Governance tools.
- Knowledge & work experience in the Data Security & Data Privacy Domain.
- Professional certifications (or equivalent) in Enterprise Security.
- Data Discovery & Data Access Governance (implementation and architecting) certification would be a plus.
Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $100,000 to $127,000. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), and other paid and unpaid leave options.
