Position Overview
The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for supporting the operations team in ensuring shipments from overseas vendors are delivered to Coyuchi's third-party fulfillment center on time and in full. This role is integral in ensuring that Coyuchi products are shipped on time from several overseas and domestic vendors, and monitoring all the logistical milestones from Ex-Factory to warehouse receipt. This position will work closely with our production, planning, merchandising teams as well as have direct contact and communication with overseas and domestic vendors, agents and freight forwarders. This is a crucial role that will partner with internal stakeholders to ensure marketing and product launches are met and can be executed on time, while ensuring costs are in line with the business goals and objectives.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the transportation of goods from suppliers to Coyuchi's warehouse network, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Manage logistics processes including booking, track/trace, import/export commercial invoices/packing lists and related logistics documents
  • Ensure data accuracy in all program dashboards, generate weekly reporting to internal customers and ensure SLAs for all shipment booking and execution
  • Attend weekly business reviews with stakeholders and provide performance feedback to internal and external customers
  • Effectively communicate and escalate high priority matters with leadership
  • Accurately track and manage milestone activity with various overseas suppliers, agents and freight forwarders while providing timely reporting to management
  • Analyze transportation and logistics data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Monitor and optimize transportation routes and shipping methods to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
  • Own cost, cycle time, service, and quality KPI's for all transportation service providers
  • Serve as subject matter expert for internal cross-functional partners
  • Utilize KPI's and shipment data to address exceptions and drive improved performance
  • Manage key initiatives related to logistics
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in retail/International logistics to continuously improve processes and strategies.
  • Support the operations team with administrative and clerical duties as assigned to the department along with supporting the department head with strategic department initiatives
  • Additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in supporting or managing international logistics, with at least 1 year of experience in apparel or home textiles
  • Experience working directly with freight forwarders and international contract manufacturers
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field
  • Strong written and verbal communicator
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook, Google Suite, Knowledge of Asana a plus
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong problem solving, judgment and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented

They should develop strong internal and external partnerships and be able to communicate clearly across functions, vendors and service providers.
