Team Lead Delivery Driver:
Overview: Join our dynamic team as a Lead Driver, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our delivery services. You will not only oversee the daily activities of our driver team but also embody our company's commitment to client success, teamwork, and innovation. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead by example, fostering a culture that prioritizes excellence in service delivery.
Shift Details:

  • Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday through Friday
  • Start Time: 5 AM
  • Expected Hours: 32 - 40 hours per week, overtime if needed
  • Flexibility: Weekends as needed
What You'll Do:
  • Leadership and Coordination: Direct and oversee the daily activities of a team of drivers, ensuring efficient and safe operations. Collaborate closely with the Transportation Supervisor and Operations Team to address special circumstances such as late or missing pickups.
  • Training and Development: Actively recruit, interview, select, and train new drivers. Provide ongoing motivation, coaching, and mentoring to enhance team performance.
  • Vehicle Management: Conduct daily vehicle inspections, report defects, and ensure that all maintenance is scheduled and performed in a timely manner. Maintain cleanliness and compliance with DOT regulations for all assigned vehicles.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and maintain daily vehicle inspection reports and ensure all drivers are adhering to DOT regulations. Assist in maintaining accurate DOT files.
  • Client and Team Engagement: Maintain a positive work environment, communicate effectively with team members and management, and focus on creating "raving fans" among clients by exceeding their expectations.
What You'll Bring:
  • Experience: Several years of driving experience within the logistics industry.
  • Licensing: Valid commercial driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 pounds; candidates should also be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical examination.
  • Medical Requirements: Ability to obtain a Non-CDL DOT Medical Card is necessary for this position.
  • Passionate about client success and a strong desire to collaborate with others.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
