Description
UT Urgent Care Clinics have provided medical care for acute illnesses and minor injuries to Knoxville, TN and surrounding counties since 2007. UT Urgent Care-Northshore is seeking experienced, well qualified float who must be a team player and comfortable working in a fast pace urgent care environment.
A successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties but not limited to:
Job Description:
- Greet patients and assist with patient requests upon arrival to clinic
- Obtain and record demographic, insurance and financial information
- Accurately records patient history, complete patient vitals, retrieves basic condition of patient and reports to appropriate practitioner.
- Assists provider with examination, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care, such as: apply splints and wound dressings, collect and record various laboratory tests, administer oral and injectable medication.
- Flexible Schedule: Typically, 10-hour days (days vary) with alternating Saturdays 9-6 ($2/hr shift diff for weekend hours).
- Hours: 36-40-hour work week

- Requirement of GED or High School Diploma
- 1+ year experience in healthcare facility (medical office, urgent care, ED) is preferred
- Completion of Medical Assistant program, registered/certified (RMA/CMA) or 2+ years' experience working in medical office
