Team Overview

Annalect Devops is directly responsible for the 24x7 monitoring and maintenance of the Annalect platforms, working closely with technology leadership, and are ultimately responsible for ensuring technology quality and security. The DevOps team is the final ownership line for all clouds.

Position Overview

Annalect is looking for a Devops Engineer to work in our Cloud based environment. The DevOps Engineer will be directly responsible for the 24x7 monitoring and maintenance of the Annalect platforms, working closely with technology leadership, and be ultimately responsible for ensuring technology quality. This individual must have a proven track record of success managing/working in a functional and technical team with a strong sense of quality ownership for existing and new cloud-based platforms and features. This is a hands-on position that requires strategic thinking and planning to provide expertise throughout the entire infrastructure and operational lifecycle, ensuring the success of the team's planning, building, operating, optimizing and automation efforts. This senior team member will provide mentorship and coaching to DevOps engineers and other technology team members.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support the cloud infrastructure for Development, Test, and Production environments
  2. Communicate with the product development teams in several geographical locations to produce requirements for infrastructure, networking, and operations toolsets necessary to provision and maintain product lines
  3. Review and establish best practices for CI/CD solutions in collaboration with teams
  4. Provision and set up all environments (Live, Staging, Dev, QA) and coordinate with teams to ensure environments meet company standards and best practices
  5. Perform release and configuration management
  6. Act as a technical delivery resource for project specific tasks
  7. Build and maintain the core technology platform monitoring services
  8. Build and maintain automated deployment of the platform’s cloud infrastructure
  9. Build and maintain secure continuous deployment pipelines and automate continuous security monitoring and alerting using cloud capabilities
  10. Help with threat assessment and penetration testing as early as necessary/possible
  11. Help identify problem points within the production environment
  12. Solve day-to-day operational problems with the production environment
  13. Ensure robust, stable, and secure back-end infrastructure to support product portfolio
  14. Support the development team during application enhancements
  15. Contribute to Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery design
  16. Stay up to date with industry trends

Required Skills And Qualifications

  1. Proven working experience as part of an agile operation or development team
  2. Proven experience with at least one of the following: AWS, GCP, Azure Cloud Platforms
  3. Leverage cloud capabilities for network security, data security, and encryption
  4. Proficient in developing automation mechanisms for continuous build and integration activities
  5. Proficient in supporting large multi-tier infrastructure environments
  6. Ensure the security of IaaS/PaaS architectures, with good understanding of Web Application security
  7. Working knowledge of isolation tools, i.e., Docker
  8. Working knowledge of Windows/Linux Systems Administration
  9. Scripting ability – PowerShell, Python, Bash etc. (Basic Scripting skill)
  10. Good understanding of .NET ecosystem and build tools (optional)
  11. Knowledge of Git/Bitbucket
  12. Experience with Bamboo/Jenkins
  13. Producing good technical documentation skills, UML
  14. Team player, who is levelheaded and considers the impact of their actions on others
  15. Strong interpersonal skills
  16. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  17. Good communication and documentation writing skills
  18. Excellent problem-solving skills
  19. Must be self-motivated and highly organized
  20. 3+ years of Experience Working on Cloud Platforms. (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  21. Cloud Certification is a plus
  22. Basic Scripting / Automation skill
  23. Good understanding of Linux Environment
  24. Knowledge of Terraform
  25. Knowledge of CI/CD Tool (Jenkins/Bamboo)
  26. Database Administration skill - MSSQL / MySQL / PostgreSQL

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Compensation Range

$91,000—$130,000 USD
