Full Stack Engineering Manager, Process and Tools
At the core of Recorded Future’s intelligence work is a data model of the threat landscape, which we’ve termed The Security Intelligence Graph. The mission of our Data Science Curation group is continually expanding and improving the data in this model. You will lead the engineering team that enables the success of our Curation group: defining the data improvement processes, building the internal tools, and providing the process control metrics that enable us to find the next high impact improvement.
What You'll Do As A Full Stack Engineering Manager:
- Improve the quality and efficiency of our data curation workflows. You will work closely with the curation group’s onsite leaders to understand their workflow pain points, devise fixes, and measure the impact of your team’s work.
- Guide your developers through design, implementation, and rollout of tool releases. You will combine quantitative inputs (user activity analytics, process QA data) and subjective inputs (users suggestions, “ride along” observation sessions) to target your team on problems that matter, and track the results through release and measurable improvement.
- Coach and develop your full-stack developers through regular discussions, code reviews, collaboration and knowledge sharing. You will continue to grow your own full-stack development and user-centered design skills, so you can define a strong technical and functional roadmap.
What You'll Bring as a Full Stack Engineering Manager:
You are results-oriented. You want to know how the products that you build make a difference. You are curious about the people who use your products, and what they need to be more successful.
- You are skilled at creating clear communication between American tech professionals and teammates from other business cultures/national cultures.
- You are excited to travel regularly to Manila, where our curation team is based, to build strong work relationships and deepen your understanding of the work environment and user perspectives.
Professional experience required for this role:
- 5+ years of full stack experience with developing production-grade, full-stack applications and well-versed in React, Fast API, and Python.
- 4+ years of experience with managing teams and working collaboratively with international teams.
- Software engineering leadership. You understand and value the engineering practices needed to create reliable, maintainable, and secure full-stack applications. You are a leader for these practices in your teams.
