Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled individual to oversee the U.S. accounting and reporting functions. This person will lead the accounting team, manage consolidation efforts, and ensure the timely delivery of accurate financial information to both management and corporate accounting. They will also be responsible for supervising accounting staff and driving process improvements within the team. Additionally, this role will offer exposure to other areas of the business, including legal agreement reviews and business development activities, while contributing to the implementation of new technologies.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all U.S. entities.
  • Lead the consolidation and reporting for U.S. subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with corporate accounting requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor a team, promoting accountability, collaboration, and professional development within the accounting department.
  • Collaborate with various departments to address complex accounting matters and provide key financial insights.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives, including the implementation of automation tools and best practices, to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, ensuring data integrity and accuracy across financial reports.
  • Support the review and financial assessment of legal contracts, business agreements, and strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process, and maintain strong internal controls and compliance with SOX requirements.
  • Manage special projects and ad-hoc tasks as assigned, including preparation of statutory financial statements and involvement in broader business initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of accounting or auditing experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or a similar role.
  • Strong experience with SAP and financial systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with prior experience supervising staff.
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP and its application in financial reporting.

Salary Range: $180k - $200k
