Job Description

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) is seeking an experienced Environmental Health Technician to join our team! This position is available within our Radiological Infrastructure Operations (RIO) subdivision and will support the Service Life Extension Operations (SLEO) unit at the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory in Niskayuna, NY. SLEO is responsible for performing radiological liability reduction to increase the life of the testing programs within the Radioactive Materials Laboratory. Opportunities for this position include, but are not limited to, performing complex radiological work to support radiological facility upgrades, waste removal activities, and legacy testing equipment removal. SLEO also maintains intrinsic radiological capabilities to support sitewide NNL radiological casualties.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience; or Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; or Journeyman's papers in a related field and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Pay Range

$83,600.00 - $130,700.00 annually

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
