Job Title: Logistics engineer

Reports to: Warehouse and Logistics Manager

Location(s): Philadelphia, PA HQ

  1. Summary of Position : (Brief description of overall responsibilities and function )

Improve overall warehouse operations (Customer Support and Production) in relation to operational efficiency improvement and cost reduction. Search for cost-cutting measures in areas including inbound, outbound, shipment, and internal movement of materials within the plant. The position will support analysis of KPIs for all Warehouse processes and will provide operational direction to Warehouse Management on resource allocation or specific actions to perform.

Analysis of KPIs (Customer Support and Production).

Support the Warehouse Management in cost reduction initiatives.

Assist and develop policies, procedures, work instructions and guidance documents across the overall warehouse processes.

Conduct strategic reviews of forecast workloads, to proactively implement changes of resources allocation and process improvements.

Participate to meetings with Management to present KPIs and explain overall reasons behind specific trends.

  1. Qualifications for Position :

A. Education

Associate degree (bachelor's preferable) Mix of experience and education

B. Experience

2 to 5 years in logistics, supply chain on distribution or manufacturing industries.

C. Competencies & Attributes

1.

Improvement of process efficiency, reduce errors.

2.

Data analytical to develop better insight into the operation need and preferences.

3.

Training of staff to keep them updated on the industry logistical changes.

4.

Organize, tracking, and recording the movement of materials and products within and across organizations

5.

Implementation of supply chain tools to track material

6.

Introduce different departments feedback process to gain insight into their satisfaction with logistics
