We are currently seeking an Accounts Receivable & Collection Specialist to join our team in Waltham, Massachusetts office. The A/R Collection Specialist will be responsible for processing invoices and account adjustments as well as providing customer service regarding collection issues. The successful incumbent will be responsible for reducing the delinquency of assigned accounts and a strong communicator. Additionally, the Specialist will work in a timely fashion with staff and management. The position is full-time, on-site and will report directly to the Finance Manager.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles/bookkeeping.
- Cash applications, bank deposits, customer maintenance, uploading invoices to portals, and reconciling collection issues.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and resolve issues in a timely fashion.
- Anticipate and interact with clients in a professional manner.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business preferred not required
- Minimum 2 years' experience required.
- Prior related A/R Collections experience required.
- Strong MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook (intermediate level).
- Superb time management and detail orientation.
- We currently use various accounting platforms.
- Salary: $65,000 - $70,000/year
- Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm
