Overview
The Manager will partner with operating areas within Steam Operations to develop organizational plans, forecasts, and budgets for Steam O&M and Capital. In addition, this position will lead, coordinate, and vet key aspects of the budget development and forecasting processes. The Manager will be directly responsible for Steam O&M budget for both reporting and analysis, and indirectly oversee Steam's Capital. The Manager will also lead and develop the team of analysts and guide the team through the development of value-added analysis, automation, and streamlining of key FP&A processes.Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities- Coordinates key activities in the budget development process, including working with customers to develop budget and providing historical data to help justify work plan.
- Develops budget presentation materials for senior management.
- Vets financial forecasts and challenges forecast assumptions along with work plan requirements.
- Identifies and communicates variations from plan to stakeholders.
- Attends key customer meetings, challenges forecasts, and provides recommendations for areas of improvement.
- Provides monthly variance analysis and commentary, including corrective action plans.
- Communicates monthly performance to customers.
- Facilitates capital optimization and governance process (including preparation of governance meeting materials and use of PI360).
- Leads spend driver tracking through maintenance, analysis, and communication of weekly data.
- Identifies opportunities to create value-added analyses to support customers in decision making.
- Performs ongoing analysis of accruals of all types along with associated payments.
- Assists in rate case filing and regulatory reporting and helps prepare relevant documentation.
- Provides training to customers and internal staff on key processes, systems, and financial acumen.
- Identifies process improvement and automation opportunities.
- Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

- 5-7 years Minimum 5 years of FP&A-related experience, required. Required and
- 2 years Demonstrated strong quantitative and presentation experience, required Required and
- 2 years Understanding and familiarity with ConEd's business (e.g., services provided, current events) and FP&A function (e.g., objective, role, deliverable), required. Required and
- 2 years Advance use of MS Office and budgeting tools (e.g., Oracle, SAP), required. Required and
- 5-7 years Understanding of accounting principles (e.g., income statement, balance sheet), required. Required and
