Your expertise in data analysis, monitoring systems, and evaluation techniques will contribute to the accurate measurement of energy savings and the identification of opportunities for improvement. This is a crucial position that supports our commitment to environmental sustainability and energy conservation.This role is intended to provide detail-oriented technical analysis of energy and automation systems in the Energy Bureau. The Energy Performance Specialist 1 (EPS1) will be responsible for implementing comprehensive measurement and verification plans to assess the performance and effectiveness of energy efficiency projects and sustainability initiatives. Your expertise in data analysis, monitoring systems, and evaluation techniques will contribute to the accurate measurement of energy savings and the identification of opportunities for improvement. This is a crucial position that supports our and our clients' commitments to environmental sustainability and energy conservation.What will you do?Analyze utility data and alert on changing trends in data.Perform remote analysis of building automation system operation and understand impact on building utility usage trendsProvide custom analysis for a variety of time-series sets of data, including interval utility data, building automation system trend data, and other logged data seriesEvaluate project performance relative to defined goalsCreate reports summarizing performance targeted to internal project teams and customersExecute defined measurement and verification (MandV) strategies and manage deliverables for a portfolio of projectsPrioritize opportunities for energy efficiency improvement within a project and across a portfolioDevelop building automation system review plans for new projectsProvide feedback to internal energy and automation teams to facilitate first time qualityQUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills and/or abilities required. An individual must meet the minimum requirements as listed in each subsection.EDUCATION:Four-year engineering or related degreeTwo-year technical degree with equivalent related work experienceEXPERIENCE:Zero to Two years relevant work experienceSKILLS and ABILITIES:Critical thinking and advanced problem-solving skills required.Strong interests in energy efficiency, sustainability, and environmental conservation.Excellent verbal and written communication skills required including, but not limited to, the ability to influence and persuade internal and external Customers, listen effectively, and solicit input from others.Excellent organizational skills required including, but not limited to, the ability to handle multiple demands and assignments, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently, and the ability to manage resource procurement and utilization.Advanced ability to use Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Understanding of building systems, building management systems, and energy use preferred.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary duties of this job.
