This person will be expected to provide manufacturing engineering expertise by supporting, developing and improving manufacturing techniques, equipment, tools, fixtures, machinery and other devices needed to produce a quality product at minimal cost. Support production by being a leader in Lean Manufacturing and applying those tools to achieve production goals. Candidate will be expected to:

  • Research and evaluate new processes for manufacturing requirements
  • Interact with maintenance, tool room, office and production departments to compile and analyze information necessary to implement positive ideas and solve routine problems requiring innovative analysis and solutions
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing problems and bottle necks
  • Continually improve manufacturing processes by redesigning and updating tooling methods and equipment
  • Perform basic Manufacturing Engineering functions such as time study, layouts, cost justification studies, etc.
  • Understand and apply the concepts of tact time, cycle time, and flow to meet our expectations of cost, quality and delivery.
  • Understand and apply all systematic parameters that are required to build product that is specific to customer requirements. These tasks include the ability to specify order configuration options, data processing rules, and applications to generate CAD illustrations and all post processing applications.
  • Must be able to measure and analyze parts and products and have the ability to tweak all elements within the data processing system to maximize both function of product and best manufacturing practices.
  • Assist research and development with product design and feasibility


At a minimum the person should have a mechanical engineering (or equivalent) degree and experience in manufacturing engineering, CAD, and lean principles. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in press, stamping tooling, projection welding and CNC.
