**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room

**Shift:** 12-Hour Nights, Varying Start Times: 3 PM, 5 PM, 7 PM; Includes Minimum 4 Weekend Shifts per Schedule
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 Hours per Week
**Experience:** Minimum 2 Years in ER/Trauma Level 1 (Must be Recent Within Past 6 Months)
**License:** Required
**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
**Must-Have:** COVID Vaccine or Declination Form with Medical Documentation
**Job Description:**
- Flexible to work all shifts with varying start times: 3 PM, 5 PM, 7 PM.
- Must float between ER locations within close proximity (7 miles/15 minutes apart).
- Pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer acceptance (2 attempts allowed).
- Successfully complete a Sim Lab on the first day of orientation.
- Participate in common ER procedures, including trauma care for MVAs, GSW, blunt, and piercing trauma.
- Care for patients experiencing CVA and MI, and manage high-risk OB patients and psych holds.
- Handle cardioversions and conscious sedation for closed fractures; 11% pediatric population managed.
- Work in a 60-bed ER with 14 fast-track beds, performing bedside triage and ensuring patient care.
- Work with moderate conscious sedation competency.
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:3-4 and collaborate with charge nurses, unit secretaries, paramedics, and CNAs.
- Required to cover two out of three major holidays during the holiday season.
- Wear navy scrubs for the shift.
- Utilize Cerner for charting and manage GE Lifepack monitors.
- Familiarity with Puritan Bennett 840, Dreager, Vision Bipap, and V60 ventilators.
- Have access to 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy services.
**Additional Notes:**
- This ER unit handles approximately 80,000 visits per year and is a certified chest pain and stroke center.
- Paramedics are available to start IVs; only perform lab draws unless central line access is involved.
