Vice President Of Operations

POSITION PURPOSE

The Vice President of Operations will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operations for a hospitality property located in North County San Diego. This person will ensure development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of the organization's operations division.
2. Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.
3. Collaborates with departments to carry out the organization's goals and objectives.
4. Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.
5. Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organization's business plan and vision.
6. Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
7. Reviews and approves cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects.
8. Establishes a hospitality culture with accurate and timely service to the highest level of customer satisfaction and proposes innovative solutions for continuous improvement for both operations and team member engagement.
9. Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the property owners.
10. Regularly reviews the quality of the organization's operations with owners and assists with developing and implementing strategies to improve operations.
11. Oversees and manages execution by effectively using centralized resources in other areas such as accounting, finance, HR, etc., to drive business results.
12. Ensures properties operate in compliance with legal obligations by working with legal counsel.
13. Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management.
14. Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided.
15. Operational knowledge of wine production and sales.
16. Oversees vineyards maintenance, working in conjunction with the outside wine vendor.
17. Manages expenses for vineyards.
18. Conducts property tours for both properties.
19. Oversees and manages property construction for both properties, working alongside general contractors and owners.
20. Performs other related duties as assigned.
