Selah Freedom is a Faith-Based, Regional organization providing education and training throughout the country, as well as teen prevention, outreach, and safe housing in the Midwest and Southeast regions of the United States. Qualifications
Job Summary
- The Residential Advocate is solely responsible for providing support to survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation in our residential program.
- Facilitate all assessments, treatment planning and support services for survivors of sex trafficking to include, but not limited to legal, medical, housing, and mental health.
- Provide necessary transportation for survivors of sex trafficking to and from a variety of places including, but not limited to, places of employment, medical appointments, classes, and community resources.
- Attend meetings and trainings requested by the Residential Coordinator.
- Indirect Services to document victim services information to the database.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate or Bachelors degree in Social Work, Criminology, or other behavioral science required, experience will be considered in lieu of education.
- Participate in continuing education standards including a minimum of eight hours training per year in trauma, substance abuse, and sex trafficking.
- Experience in a licensed substance abuse treatment program, trauma-informed care program, post traumatic stress program OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provided the required knowledge, skills, and abilities preferred.
- Experience working with survivors of sex trafficking is preferred.
- Experience working in cross-cultural settings.
- Clean driving record.
