Job Description:

  • The Events Management Technology System Administrator position is the primary technical point of contact for the Cvent application and is responsible for ensuring that the application's configuration and related internal customer support serves the needs of the University.
  • This position has direct responsibility for creating and maintaining event platform data inflows and outputs including reporting for internal use.
  • This position primarily supports the Program Services and Annual Giving and Alumni Relations teams in their use of Cvent but may support other University departments as needed.
  • The Event Management System Administrator works closely with the Office of Information Technology and Marketing and Communications teams to ensure adherence to security, compliance, and brand standards.

Duties:

Administration of Cvent:

  • Monitor requests for event creation and maintenance.
  • Discuss requested events or modifications to provide technical guidance and make use of Cvent's functionality to promote operational efficiency and optimize the attendee experience.
  • Develop and maintain event templates and reports, making regular updates to maximize utility.

Data Management:

  • Rigorously maintain adherence to company privacy and security standards.
  • Develop data upload and download processes in both Blackbaud CRM and Cvent that ensure timely, accurate, and comprehensive transaction and constituent information is transmitted.
  • Collaborate with other business units to determine reporting requirements and create customized reports and dashboards.
  • Identify opportunities for automation through API integration or other means where feasible.
  • Partner with the Gift Administration, Constituent Records, Development Systems Management teams and Cvent liaisons to implement integrations and optimize data processes.

Special Projects:

  • Assist in the execution of RGA projects in furtherance of data quality objectives.
  • This may require liaising with third parties such as Cvent or other vendors and collaboration with university staff within and outside DEA.

Gift & Record Processing:

  • Assist with gift and record processing activities as needed due to volume, complexity, or staff capacity.
  • This includes entry of transaction data into Blackbaud CRM, updates to constituent records, adjustments to existing gifts, and reconciliation processes.

Education:

  • HS diploma or equivalent

Years of exp: 5+

  • Five years of full-time professional work experience required, preferably in development services or in nonprofit or private higher education.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Experience working with a CRM system, preferably Blackbaud Enterprise CRM or Raiser's Edge, is strongly preferred, as is experience working with Cvent or a similar events management platform.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and financial reporting is desired. Customer/internal service experience is preferred.
