Job Summary:
As a CNC Machinist at Marion Mfg., you will play a pivotal role in transforming client specifications into reality. Your expertise will ensure that our machines operate smoothly and efficiently, while your keen eye for detail will help uphold our commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set Up for Success: Determine the necessary fixtures, attachments, and tools for each job, and expertly mount them to the CNC machine.
  • Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with engineers and supervisors to ensure alignment between project plans and products, making modifications as needed.
  • Precision in Action: Adjust machine speed, tooling, and cutting styles to guarantee accuracy in every manufactured part.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the cutting process, catching mistakes early and implementing solutions to maintain our high standards.
  • Machine Maintenance: Oversee machine temperatures, manage warm-up and cool-down periods, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure longevity.
  • Final Inspections: Thoroughly inspect finished products for accuracy and uniformity, ensuring they meet our stringent quality requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a machine shop environment, with at least 5 years operating CNC machines.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC lathes and/or mills, along with the ability to interpret blueprints and G-code.
  • Hands-on experience with programming and CNC software.
  • A quality mindset, adept in using measuring tools to maintain close tolerances.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess your own tools and a high school diploma or equivalent.
