Financial Analyst

Banesco USA is seeking a Financial Analyst for our Finance Business Unit.

Primary Job Duties

1. Responsible for preparing and creating monthly financial reports for presentation at the monthly Board of Directors meetings.
2. Prepares and analyzes budget vs actual variances. Investigates and notates any discrepancies and advises other departments to make necessary corrections.
3. Communicate findings and recommendations on financial report analysis.
4. Perform business cases and financial models.
5. Update and track business cases for strategic initiatives.
6. Responsible for preparing and analyzing the monthly provisions.
7. Assist in expense management vs budget for accuracy and allocation.
8. Update reports sent to the Bank’s Affiliates.
9. Evaluate financial data and update queries.
10. Update monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory reports (i.e., Census, BEA, Qualified Public Depositor (QPD)).
11. Perform ad hoc reports and presentations.
12. Perform other functions and/or duties as assigned.
13. Study business and economic trends and stay updated with industry regulations.
14. Responsible for completing the annual training program assigned.

Job Requirements

1. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
2. Experience: Three (3) years of experience in the Banking industry or in Finance.
3. Advanced computer skills including but not limited to proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
4. Bilingual in both English and Spanish a plus.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Ability to multi-task, with strong organization, time-management, and prioritizing skills.
8. Strong customer service skills, ensuring satisfaction of internal customers.
9. Intermediate knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reporting related functions.
10. Intermediate knowledge of related State and Federal banking compliance regulations and operational policies.
11. Ability to understand and comprehend instructions, procedures, and policies ensuring compliance with the Bank’s policies and procedures.
12. Problem-solving and analytical skills in order to identify problems.
