This is an opportunity to bring new strategies and initiatives to life while retiring legacy technology. We are seeking a Product Owner to help define the product strategy and provide technical expertise for current and future Crew Resources technology. The Product Owner will work across Crew Resources, Flight Ops, In-Flight Service, and IT to ensure development requests are well understood across the enterprise, gain cross-divisional consensus on priorities, and ensure deliverables meet business needs. To do so, this individual will need to manage multiple projects at once, communicate effectively, build strong cross-divisional partnerships, understand how to write project requirements, and understand the crew member experience.Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):The Training Product Owner will support both legacy and next generation crew training productsResponsible for end-to-end product ownership duties including understanding the business problem, identifying stakeholder needs, and developing optimal solutionsUnderstand the business and technology vision and translate it into strategy and requirements so that products meet the business’s needsIdentify opportunities to improve business processes and propose potential action plansSupport the modernization of other Crew applications that are dependent upon and interface with the training systemsPrepare internal communications that include ad hoc reports, executive summaries, and formal presentations to senior leadersDevelop subject matter expertise for crew related data and systems that can be translated into optimal design and developmentBuild and maintain an executable product roadmap that balances business value, funding, cross-initiative dependencies, and development complexity that guides current and future developmentLead phases of product development, including requirements gathering, development prioritization, and implementation of strategiesPrioritize product backlog, projects, and initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups so that IT is working on the right thingsWrite functional user stories and acceptance criteria that enable a smooth handoff to developmentParticipate in Agile ceremonies with development teams to provide direction and drive progressModel Delta's Rules of the Road and core valuesPractice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and proceduresWhat you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)Minimum 2 years of experience with Crew and/or IT Project/Product Ownership*Verbally present ideas succinctly and persuasively; demonstrate logical thinking when responding to questions or providing alternative solutionsAbility to develop presentations that include visuals that advance the story, speak to an executive audience, and influence outcomes*Experience translating a business vision into written requirementsTrack record of managing products or complex projects successfully*Ability to lead and influence others responsible for deliverablesExhibit curiosity and think creatively to help identify solutions*Proven success in understanding and managing complex processesWillingness to become the subject matter expert for your product and take ownership for its development and performance*Self-starter with the ability to work well with diverse groups in a time sensitive and team environment with minimal supervisionResults oriented and capable of meeting or exceeding deadlines with attention to detail and follow through*Currency in user experience best practices and new technology trendsMust be performing satisfactorily in present position (if transferring internally)*Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.*Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business, Engineering, or TechnologyExperience in creation and design, or management of technology systemsPrior experience as an agile product manager/owner preferredBroad knowledge of Crew Resources, Flight Ops, or Inflight Service preferred, but not requiredBenefits and Perks to Help You Keep ClimbingOur culture is rooted in a shared dedication to living our values - Care, Integrity, Resilience, Servant Leadership, and Teamwork - every day, in everything we do.
