Job Title : Director of Sales
Location : Happy Valley, Oregon
Reports to : President/Vice President/COO
Job Overview :
The Director of Sales is responsible for overseeing the agency’s sales strategies across commercial, personal, and benefits lines. This role involves managing the sales team, setting revenue goals, developing sales strategies, and ensuring alignment with company objectives. The Director will support the team, monitor sales performance, and drive consistent revenue growth while fostering client relationships.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute sales strategies for commercial, personal, and benefits insurance lines.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to meet and exceed goals.
- Set sales targets, track performance, and hold team members accountable.
- Oversee sales operations, including client acquisition, retention, and cross-selling.
- Conduct regular meetings with the sales team to review progress and adjust strategies.
- Collaborate with marketing and other departments to drive business development efforts.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts and performance reports to executive leadership.
- Build and maintain key client relationships.
- Other miscellaneous duties.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in sales leadership, preferably within the insurance industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Knowledge of commercial, personal, and benefits insurance lines.
