JOB – Lead Process Automation Engineer
LOCATION - Exton, PA.
TERM - Permanent
SALARY- $110,000 - $135,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
My client – a manufacturer of Machinery and Process Equipment are on the lookout for an experienced Lead Process Automation Engineer to join their team on a Permanent basis near Exton, PA.
The ideal candidate will have experience of Microsoft Visual Studio .net, SQL Servers and HMIs with a focus on improving and maintaining the reliability of automated production systems.
Those with experience in driving the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes within Heavy Manufacturing industries will be of particular interest.
Management / leadership of direct reports is a key responsibility in this position.
The Lead Process Automation Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- BS or MS in Computer or Electrical Engineering.
- Understanding of PLC Programming within Allen-Bradley / Rockwell.
- Higher level Software Engineering knowledge for interfaces and applications (Visual Studio, .net etc)
- VMS experience.
- Hands on Production line maintenance and implementation experience.
- Strong Electrical Hardware knowledge.
- Industry background within heavy manufacturing; i.e foundries, metalwork, mining etc.
- Have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
The Lead Process Automation Engineer's role will involve:
- Implementation of new manufacturing and process equipment within an established production facility.
- Maintaining Electrical equipment with a continuous improvement focus.
- Programming PLCs for the control of Instrumentation and Machinery (Allen-Bradley / Rockwell).
- Programming motor control (AC, DC), drives and instrumentation systems.
- Upgrading legacy equipment.
- Direct management of a small team of Engineers
- Liaising with colleagues on other engineering tasks and projects as required
