Description

Compass Pointe has partnered with a global financial company in the Owings Mills, MD area that is looking for a Services Engineer. This position will focus on developing/maintaining Services/applications using Java/Spring boot or Python or NodeJS. Knowledge of automated testing of data is a plus.

Requirements

1. Latest Java - Streams API, Java Lambdas, Java Generics.
2. AWS (Amazon Web Services) certified (Developer or Architect (Associate/Professional)).
3. SQL experience and knowledge of relational databases (Analytical and Operational).
4. Latest Spring boot.
5. Microservice development experience.
6. Knowledge and hands-on Docker.
7. Hands-on Unix.
8. Hands-on Unit testing Junit/pytest.
9. Mock testing using mockit framework.
10. Working knowledge of Python and/or JavaScript/Typescript (especially for developing AWS Lambdas).
11. Working knowledge of version control system git.
12. Knowledge of CI/CD like gradle, maven, gitlab-ci, jenkins.

Desired Skills

1. Reactive Java.
2. Reactive Spring.
3. Rx Java.
4. Test automation experience.
5. Front end frameworks like ReactJS and/or Angular.
6. Knowledge of Apigee, building proxies with Apigee.
