Senior Vice President, Technical Product Specialist and App Delivery

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Technical Product Specialist and App Delivery to join our Markets FX post trade team. This role is in Pittsburgh- HYBRID.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Deliver new functionality to allow the FX Product team to provide improved solutions to our clients, and to our FX Sales/Trading users
- Deliver new automated technology solutions to improve the scalability of the FX post trade processing platforms and increase the level of STP for FX Operations
- Enhance, transform, and simplify the FX Post Trade technology platform
- Take ownership of deliverables from analysis, design, build and test, through L3 production support.
- Become an active participant in technical discussions across the wider FX technology team to define and agree the future strategic architecture
- Be able to document requirements in Jira and Confluence.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Significant experience of working on a 3rd party vendor platform Wall Street Systems.
- Hands on experience of Databases (inc. SQL), Middleware solutions (For example: MQ, Kafka or Rest) and Systems Integration testing.
- Hands-on experience of vendor systems and knowledge of the FX trade life cycle
- Self-starter who can work directly with users to gather requirements and implement solutions, working with internal development teams and a 3rd party platform vendor
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
- An effective communicator, and the ability to converse effectively with non-technical users
- Experience of working in software development or change team environment and Agile methodology.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree is preferred.
- 10-12 years of experience in a systems SCM environment, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
Acts as SCM technical expert, responsible for defining the overall technical direction of the SCM department. Defines SCM plans and scripts/programs for the most complex configurations. Standardizes the use of tools, technology and/or business expertise in relationship to SCM approaches. Assists in defining standards, processes, and procedures for the use of technology within the department. Defines and approves the process for metrics collection and analysis across all applications. Analyses data and produces progress reports for strategic projects.
Makes recommendations to improve efficiencies and outcomes. Interacts directly with clients and senior management regarding project activities, production stability, SLAs, and status of upgrades on the application (vendor/in-house). Responsible for defining the installation and upgrade strategy for vendor products and identifying obstacles in making vendor software products fully operational within BNY environment. Reviews customizations made to core product to ensure impact on future portability. Contributes to the achievement of Software Configuration/Release Management objectives.
