Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking an In-Plant Ink Manager for a contract-to-hire or direct-hire position at a global chemical manufacturing leader onsite and in-plant at their customer in Hauppauge, NY. This role is located fully onsite in Hauppauge until mid-2025, then will be located fully onsite in Middletown, NY . Compensation: $75,000-$100,000

Schedule: M-F, core business hours

Location : Fully onsite in Hauppauge. NY until mid-2025, then fully onsite in Middletown, NY. Ideal candidate is local to Middletown, NY and willing to commute (expenses covered: hotel, tolls, milage reimbursement, etc) to Hauppauge until mid-2025.


SUMMARY

The In-Plant Manager will act as the liaison for the Company and the Customer with primary focus on providing world class support from within the In House Team. Act as the main point of contact for the Customer at the local level. Coach Team Members as it relates to development with focus on safety and ink knowledge. Ensure Team is supplying ink to the Customer safely, with highest quality, on time and efficiently. Maintains and promotes a fair Team oriented environment in all areas of the Customers’ location.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Continue to develop and Maintain supplier-customer relationship.
  • Develop, maintain and sustain a daily safety regimen.
  • Responsible for maintaining the liquid ink inventory
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures, training program and auditing process for sustainability.
  • Conducts process audits to monitor and develop continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develops and/or maintains KPIs designed to drive change
  • Act as a help chain in support of ink technicians
  • Attend standing and/or requested Customer meetings as required.
  • Comply with all TIA and Customer safety, waste, and chemical/hazardous materials handling practices
  • Maintain and sustain 5s principles in and around the ink lab and dispense area(s)
  • Complete other related duties as assigned by supervisor and/or customer


QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Five (5) plus years Flexo ink production management experience
  • Five (5) plus years color matching and blending procedures experience
  • A self-starter; demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize work, and self-motivate
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff (production employees through upper management) in a professional, courteous manner
  • Reliable, dependable employee with good attendance practices
  • Proficient in Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experience working with hazardous materials
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

Preferred:

  • College or Technical training
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Forklift Certified
  • HazMat Certified
  • Shipping/Receiving experience
