Reporting to the Recruiting Manager, the Bilingual Recruiting Phone Screener will review candidate applications, conduct phone screens, and ensure candidates meet the required qualifications for the position. In this role, you will handle a high volume of candidate interactions, conducting 130-150 phone screens each week to support a high-volume hiring process.

Pay range: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule: The anticipated schedule will be Sunday - Thursday from 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM in your respective time zone: Pacific Time, Mountain Time, Central Time, or Eastern Time.

Work environment: Remote

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate candidate applications from various sources, including online job boards, email submissions, and internal databases
  • Conduct thorough phone screenings to assess candidates' qualifications, work history, and interest in the role
  • Partner with the recruiting team to develop a comprehensive understanding of job requirements and hiring criteria across multiple positions
  • Ask targeted questions during phone screens to accurately gauge candidates' skills, experience, and alignment with the role
  • Deliver a positive and professional candidate experience by providing clear, accurate information about the company and position
  • Assess candidates' suitability for progression by evaluating qualifications, experience, and overall fit with the role's requirements
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of candidate interactions and assessments in the system
  • Collaborate with recruiters to provide feedback and recommendations for candidates advancing beyond the initial screening stage
  • Stay informed on industry trends, job market changes, and recruitment best practices to continuously enhance screening processes

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, psychology, business administration, or a related field preferred
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages
  • Previous experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or HR roles is a plus but not mandatory-ideal for individuals looking to start or grow in the field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and ask insightful questions during phone screens
  • Excellent listening skills to assess candidates effectively during phone screens
  • Ability to handle high-volume workloads, conducting 130-150 phone screens weekly
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring thoroughness in resume screening and candidate documentation
  • Proven ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple candidates and priorities concurrently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a professional, friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive and engaging candidate experience
  • Collaborative mindset, working well with recruiters and team members to share insights
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to identify challenges and take initiative to resolve issues independently
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools is preferred, though not required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and quick to adapt to new software platforms

The final compensation offered will be determined based on various factors, including the candidate's location, level of experience, and skill set. As such, it may fall outside the range listed above.
