Itron’s Outcomes product management business unit is looking for a Senior Product Manager-Demand Response Management System. In this role you will be responsible for helping to execute Itron’s strategy for demand response management and related business evolution. Itron’s vertically integrated DRMS (IntelliSOURCE) and hardware (load control) solution stack continues to meet customer requirements for demand side management. An experienced industry business and technical leader is required to accelerate the growth of the product portfolio. This role will require an in-depth knowledge of both traditional demand response software and systems along with DERMS capabilities. The role will be instrumental in leading the product growth and commercialization globally.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Commercial Solution ownership and driving revenue growth globally
  • Be the evangelist for DRMS in the context of Forecasting, DERMS and DI and drive change in the industry
  • Drive business for the Demand Response product lines including portfolio strategy, market segmentation, competitive assessment, business cases, pricing, product definition and positioning
  • Engage with customers and key stakeholders to validate new product ideas and requirements
  • Drive product portfolio adoption, identify customer opportunities, define Go-to-market, collaborate with sales and marketing to close bookings
  • Make priority calls and business trade-offs as needed
  • Represent the product line in trade shows and customer facing presentations
  • Collaborate with multiple levels across the organization to ensure alignment: Sales, BMD, Finance, Sales Ops/Sales Enablement/Tech Sales, Svc Delivery/GMS, Networks BU; collaborate externally with Customers and eco-system partners
  • Success criteria: Supporting overall revenue growth and profitability of line of business building multiple product lines of outcomes. High value business outcome solution adoption. Recognized industry leadership in DRMS/DERMS industry

Qualifications/Education

  • 10+ years of experience in the DER/DR (hardware, software, and services)
  • 5+ years of product management experience building business cases, making priority calls, discussing requirements with customers, developing roadmaps and strategic plans
  • Experience and understanding of software and software development
  • Experience with HW, SW, recurring revenue and managed services business models
  • Excellent understanding of the smart grid eco-system, including DER/DR and grid operations
  • Good understanding of behind the meter Distributed Energy Resources (solar inverters & batteries), and how those DERs are changing the utility power delivery model.
  • Familiar with utility challenges, use cases, and market opportunities, in addition to utility business case modeling. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or Engineering (ideally either a background in technical engineering/solutions or GTM business)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters in Business Administration is a plus
  • Experience working within Utilities industry
  • Experience in DER connectivity and management (e.g. solar + storage, thermostats, HVAC, GIWH, EVSE)

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience: Denver, CO: The base salary is $139,000 - $245,000.
