Overview
Shuttle Drivers are responsible for providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services for passengers on a college campus. This role involves operating shuttle vehicles, adhering to scheduled routes and timetables, and ensuring a high level of customer service.
Shift
Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Tuesday - Saturday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Tuesday - Saturday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Responsibilities
Operate shuttle vehicles to transport passengers to designated locations according to scheduled routes and timetables.
Ensure the safe loading and unloading of passengers, including those with special needs or disabilities.
Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure passenger safety.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the shuttle vehicle to ensure it is in good operating condition.
Report any vehicle maintenance or repair needs to the Shuttle Supervisor promptly.
Maintain strict adherence to scheduled routes and departure times.
Communicate any delays or issues that may affect the shuttle schedule to the Shuttle Supervisor.
Provide courteous and professional service to all passengers.
Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking the shuttle as needed.
Address passenger inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a friendly and helpful manner.
Maintain accurate records of passenger counts, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during the shift.
Complete and submit daily logs and reports as required.
Ensure the shuttle vehicle is clean, fueled, and well-maintained at all times.
Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
Ability to assist passengers with mobility devices.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Benefits
$21.00/hour
PTO Accrual
Medical, Dental and Vision is available after 60 days for full time employees (30 hours/week)
401(k) is available after first six months of employment and 1000 hours worked

Requirements:
21 years of age or older
Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement of 26 passengers or more (required),
Responsible driving record
DOT Medical Examiner's Health Card required (company will provide for qualified applicants)
Ability to operate lift accessible vehicles
High School diploma or equivalent
High standard of integrity
Experience delivering quality service in customer/public environment
Displays a positive attitude, flexibility, initiative and ability to communicate effectively
Interpersonal Skills: Remains open to others' ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things
Able to read, write, comprehend, and converse in the English language
Previous driving experience a plus
