Job Summary

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and components. Leveraging your extensive experience and technical expertise, you will lead and contribute to projects from concept to completion. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure the successful integration of mechanical systems into the overall product architecture, meeting performance, quality, and regulatory standards.


Responsibilities

Design and Development

  • Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of mechanical systems and components.
  • Utilize CAD software and other relevant tools to create detailed and accurate 3D models and technical
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to evaluate design concepts.
  • Complete final documentation As-built drawings, spare parts lists, maintenance manuals

Project Management

  • Manage and coordinate mechanical builds on shop floor and customer sites
  • Assist in the development of project timelines, budgets, and resource planning
  • Monitor and report project progress to stakeholders

Collaboration

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software engineers, and industrial designers, to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into the overall product architecture
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and objectives

Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and performance of mechanical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance, efficiency, and manufacturability


Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering

Experience

  • Minimum of (5) years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on automated custom equipment
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and cost estimation

Communication

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Leadership

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers
  • Work with assembly crew to identify and correct issues during build
