Responsibilities
TranSystems Corporation is looking for a Transportation Engineer with a passion for Project Management Oversight to join our growing engineering department.
Responsibilities:
- Provides Project Management Oversight for federal clients to determine whether projects are on time, within budget, in conformance with design and quality criteria, in compliance with all applicable Federal Requirements and constructed to approved plans and specifications.
- Works with a range of local, state and federal clients and stakeholders on large and small scale transportation improvement projects.
- Independently performs complex tasks consulting with Project Manager, Senior Engineers, and/or Senior Planners on problems.
- May become involved in the management of smaller projects or phases and tasks within large projects, as well as the supervision, coordination and review of the work of less experienced engineers, planners and technicians.
- Consults with superiors and clients on problems associated with technical specialties in engineering and planning.
- Coordinates teamwork tasks and reviews progress with all staff and those associated with the project.
- Organizes, attends, and has significant participation in client meetings and interviews.
- Prepares reports, proposals, graphics, and presentation materials.
- Offers innovative concepts and ideas in an effort to advance projects and the company’s ability to perform work.
Qualifications
What you bring to our firm:
- The ideal candidate has 7-10 years of professional experience on a diverse range of transportation-related projects.
- Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer.
- Experience in capital projects, construction, planning, public administration or a related field desired.
- Experience in transit, rail, and transportation infrastructure.
- Project Management experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
- Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint) and various software systems.
- Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.
- Actively advocates for full inclusion in the workplace, fostering an environment that welcomes diversity and values equity for all employees, partners, clients, and the communities that TranSystems serves.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Colorado, or NY City, TranSystems is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of California and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; internal peer equity; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $120,000-$175,000 annually.
