Job Title: Director, FP&A

An experienced organisation devoted to the research behind biotechnology is seeking an experienced Financial Director FP&A, that can confidently take control over operations regarding the company's income statement, balance sheet, statement of cash flow and all additional financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control all essential aspects of FP&A such as annual budgeting, monthly reporting/forecasting, and long-range planning.
  • Leading a global team that manages the whole company's income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
  • Supporting CEO and CFO in producing business reviews that highlight key opportunities and risks, proposing actions on how to improve profitability and growth.
  • Work together with different finance leaders to produce a standardised catalogue of financial reports and key operational metrics, delivered on a continuous basis, that drive action and deliver essential financial results.
  • Assist the tracking and budgeting for Legal, HR, IT, Finance and other G&A functions.
  • Push all projects towards the digitalisation of our analytics and reporting processes, further identifying initiatives to simplify financial reporting systems.
  • Oversee projects that focus on the separation of the key financial systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in finance, Accounting or Business.
  • 10+ years related business experience with a record of scalable success.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience overseeing and leading a global team
  • Extensive financial system knowledge, being able to connect proposed operational processes to financial/accounting system requirements.
  • Experience with SAP, Hyperion, (HFM/Essbase), business objectives.
  • Collaborative individual with a strong sense of accountability and integrity.
  • The ability to show initiative, navigate through ambiguity, and confidently manage conflict and challenging conversations, particularly during moments of change.
  • Strong strategic thinker. Proactive towards action while considering potential outcomes from various angles. Constantly pushing towards transparency and simplification.
  • Demonstratable ability to assess priorities and manage/complete many complex activities in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Highly skilled in financial systems and applications, with advance expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office tools.

The annual Salary for this permanent role is between $160,000 to $200,000. The exact compensation offered to the candidate will be influenced by factors including internal equity, work location, and individual qualifications, such as relevant skills, experience, and education or training.
