We are looking for a Global HR Business Partner, based in Chicago or Munich, to join our new Global HR Business Partnering Team.
Your Team
At Allianz Commercial our Human Resources department has an in-depth understanding of the business, to deliver a best-in-class support to our managers. We're looking for a Global HR Business Partner to cooperate with our Leaders and Managers of these Global Client Groups to proactively support in the design and delivery of their respective people agendas to support the achievement of overall business ambitions.
The Impact You Will Have
In this role you will act as a Global HR Business Partner, focusing on pro-active strategic HR Partnering working closely with the Regional HR Business Partners and HR COEs (Center of Excellence) to bring functional context and deliver products that are value-adding for the respective Client Groups.
Some Of Your Specific Responsibilities Could Include
Strategic Business Partnering
- Consulting on strategic people discussions directly with senior business leaders and their managers for respective allocated Client Groups.
- Acting as a core member of Business Leadership teams of the allocated Global Leaders, developing, and executing people strategy and plan based on respective business ambitions and HR strategic priorities.
- Assessing HR implications of the business goals and working with leaders and managers to develop HR strategies and initiatives to support those goals.
Organization Management and Steering
- Together with relevant Leaders and Managers actively shape and implement strategic workforce plan for the Client Groups.
- Proactively identify and advise leaders and managers on how to optimize Organizational Effectiveness of their respective functions based on Organizational Design principles coupled with deep functional knowledge.
- Liaise closely with the local Regional Business Partners to support Leaders and Managers in effectively implementing organizational changes including people elements of Business cases.
Talent Acquisition and Development
- In collaboration with the L&D COE, work with relevant business leaders to identify current and future functional skill gaps and guide leaders to existing learning offerings or liaise with the COE to provide the required developmental products.
- Partner with COE to bring the relevant functional insights into Talent and Succession planning conversations and ensure that the learning and talent development ethos remains on the Leaders agenda on a continual basis including establishing and curating career paths within the functions.
- Liaise closely with the Recruitment COE to support Leaders with the capability and mindset definition for ongoing recruitments and talent mapping.
Performance Management
- Proactively liaises with Leaders and COE on Comp and Ben trends impacting respective functions to ensure compensation budget is directed towards the most impactful & critical areas & trends.
- Partner with COE to bring the relevant functional insights into Performance and Compensation dialogue sessions, ensuring that decisions are congruent with the broader strategic people objectives of the function.
Culture and Engagement
- In partnership with the Culture & Belonging COE, support leaders to embed the desired company culture and change agenda, providing guidance and expertise in change management and Organizational development.
The annual base salary range for Chicago for this role is $106,400 - $182,333. The annualized represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.

- Breadth of experience across multiple HR disciplines.
- Ability to build relations and influence across the management hierarchy including Board of Management.
- Proven experience within a complex global / matrix environment.
- Aptitude and interest to proactively design and drive new HR products and services.
- Excellent negotiation skills and resilience to steer discussions to a desired result.
