Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer to join our Koko engineering team, who is passionate about working on consumer electronics products and excited about the challenges of bringing them to market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collaborating with tooling suppliers on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) integration, rapid prototyping, and all necessary aspects of getting a product to market. You will be part of a core group that plays a direct role in determining company direction and ultimately the success of the product.

Your Opportunity

  • Work on challenging problems in the consumer electronics space, focusing on IoT and AI technologies.
  • Collaborate with tooling suppliers on DFM integration and develop strategies for efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes.
  • Drive rapid prototyping efforts to iterate and improve product designs quickly.
  • Be part of a high performing team of passionate engineers, working closely with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless product development.
  • Have the opportunity to learn and work on various aspects of our product lifecycle.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of DFM principles and experience working with tooling suppliers.
  • Experience in rapid prototyping techniques, such as 3D printing, CNC machining, or injection molding.
  • Familiarity with consumer electronics product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate ideas clearly in oral and written form.
  • Knowledge of CAD software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.
  • Beneficial: Experience in Design for Assembly (DFA) and familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience in bringing consumer electronics products to market, particularly related to IoT, radar, or healthcare.
  • Knowledge of materials science and selection for optimal product performance.
  • Familiarity with quality control, testing, and inspection techniques.
  • Experience in project management and working with external manufacturing partners.
