Head coaches and assistant coaches will provide coaching to youth girls who participate in our volleyball program, providing them with guidance to improve their abilities in all volleyball skills. They are expected to attend two two-hour practices a week starting November 19th and going through the last weekend in May (excluding Thanksgiving, Easter, and Christmas and New Years weeks) and be available to attend 4-7 volleyball tournaments from January-May, which occur on weekends. Practices will be Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30-9:30 pm (younger teams practice 5:30-7:30, older 7:30-9:30), tournaments are typically all day events.
Assistant coaches do not need to have coaching experience. Some volleyball experience is preferred but not necessary, your role will primarily be to support the head coach. Assistants are paid $1900 per season, which is about $15/hr.
Head coaches must understand the game of volleyball and be ready to coach not just individually, but on a group level. Must be 18 years of age or older and have previous coaching experience. They are paid $2300 per season, which is about $18/hr.
