A Well Known Hospital located in Flushing, NY has an immediate need for a Medical Assistant
Type: Contract
Schedule: 09:00am-05:00pm (includes a 45min break)
Location : Flushing, NY
Requirements:
NY State Certified Medical Assistant
High School Diploma or GED
Previous Medical Assistant experience required.
NHA Certification preferred not required
OB GYN experience preferred
Knowledge of venipuncture, laboratory equipment, venipuncture techniques, performing venipuncture
Experience working with Adults and Geriatrics is preferred
Trained and experienced in phlebotomy with up-to-date credentials, able to perform EKG's
Able to accurately perform and document vital signs in Electronic Health Record and alert nurse and/or provider as to all abnormalities
Able to make or change patient appointments as necessary
