Opportunity : We are looking for a highly organized, ambitious candidate to assist in our firm’s advisor support team, with a focus on insurance business processing. The New Business Case Manager will work closely with our Director of Advisor Services to provide a high level of service and support to our advisors as they work to positively impact the lives, lifestyles and legacies of their clients. The Advisor Support team is integral in streamlining processes for our financial advisors so they can spend more of their time doing what they do best. This full-time position will be housed in our Southfield, MI office.


Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Assist advisor and their support personnel with the submission and tracking of insurance business through various carriers.
  • Follow-up with case managers on outstanding requirements.
  • Communicate with advisors and their support personnel on outstanding requirements and methods to streamline the approval process of new business.
  • Track new business submissions through every stage of the approval process through placement.
  • Assist with contracting process with various insurance carriers.
  • Track revenue generated for the firm and its advisors through the protection unit.
  • Attend educational sessions on new developments in the insurance field.
  • Participate in firm-wide meetings on various subjects.
  • Develop a positive support relationship with advisors and their support personnel.


Qualifications:

  • Personable demeanor with an affinity for customer service.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required.
  • Ability to simplify complex tasks.
  • Ability to learn other software programs.
  • Ability to be flexible and work cross-functionally across the firm.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organization and customer service skills required.
  • Ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field and at least 1 year of experience in the financial services or insurance industry.
  • Ideal candidate should have experience utilizing a CRM software such as SmartOffice, Salesforce or Redtail.
