Family Services Case ManagerSummary Purpose for the Position:To provide counseling and other support for tenants and their children at Wilson Commencement ParkRequirements (Education, Experience, Certification, Knowledge, Skill):Bachelor’s Degree with leadership experience preferredKnowledge of substance abuse issues, familiarity with community resourcesAbility to make linkages that foster community development requiredAbility to work independentlyGeneral comprehension of DSS systemExcellent organizational and communication skillsPosition Responsibilities:Provides counseling to tenants in areas such as parenting, money management, substance abuse/mental health support, problem solving, conflict resolution, etc.Ensures that the basic needs of all tenants are metProvides case management services focusing on goals contained in individual Family Service Plans.Plans and implements tenant community activities including children’s activities and programs.Plans and provides for tenant educational programsConducts apartment safety and cleanliness checksWorks with volunteers as needed to facilitate programsWorks cooperatively with property management staff on site management, tenant issues, etc.Develops community connections that foster safety and upkeepContacts tenants who are late with or behind in rentCompletes monthly outreach tracking reportsCompletes Client Data UpdatesProvides ongoing crisis management and mediationOversee Study Buddy program for their siteWorking Conditions/Environment:Flexible to work evening hoursAbility to work with diverse client populations/issuesTransportation Requirement:Position requires automobile, driver’s license and insurance.Car available for work with proper insurance on said car.Last Updated: N/AReplaces: N/AApproved: N/A
