ALL ABOUT GENERAL MERCHANDISE
Experts of operations, process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store.
As a General Merchandise Expert, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:
- Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests.
- Engage with guests in a genuine way, which includes asking questions to better understand their specific needs.
- Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store to improve guest experience.
- Ensure sales floor is zoned, in stock and accurately signed and priced for guests.
- Execute inbound, replenishment, backroom and signing processes for GM areas.
- Operate power equipment only if certified.
- Work in a safe manner at all times to benefit yourself and others; identify and correct hazards.
- Support guest services such as back-up cashier, and maintain compliance culture while executing those duties.
- All other duties based on business needs.

- Attention to detail and follow a multi-step processes.
- Capability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment.

- Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
- Climb up and down ladders.
- Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely.
- Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays).
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
