What YOU will do

  • Conduct and coordinate moderately complex tests for control and diagnostic systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
  • Conduct multidisciplinary research in assisting equipment designers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software to develop software engineering activities.
  • Analyze system capabilities and determine end user needs to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, and input data acquisition to ensure current and future needs of the business are met.
  • Ensure hardware and software standards are met.
  • Design and implement build procedures that are used to support hardware and software product development and use.
  • Develop software configuration standards for company-wide use.
  • Train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards.
  • Design, develop, document, test, and design control and diagnostic systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer or related role in the avionics/aerospace industry. Alternatively, at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field and at least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related role in the avionics/aerospace industry would be acceptable.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of experience with the C programming language.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of experience with the software life cycle, including development and verification phases.
  • Must possess at least 2 years of experience with avionics project(s) that utilize DO-178 certification for level A or B software.
  • Must possess at least 2 years of experience with structural coverage analysis (SCA).

Avionics: Our Avionics team advances flight deck solutions, airborne communications, vision systems, sensors, and fire protection for commercial and military customers around the world.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range is $105,539.00 to $161,000.00 USD per year. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
