The Product Owner role is responsible for maximizing the value for a product. Key responsibilities include understanding the vision and roadmap for the product, participating in deliverable discussions, defining and prioritizing epics and stories in the product backlog, and articulating this to both stakeholders and the development team. This role works closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and with the Product Manager in a scaled Agile model to ensure there is alignment.

Responsibilities:

• Developing in the role of a Product Owner, possessing a working knowledge of the product and basic understanding of the business or technology domain.
• Review and accept stories and make on-the-spot decisions regarding scope and requirements.
• Working partnership with the team to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology and through an advanced understanding of the business.
• Responsibility for a project and project budget.
• Collaborate with external programmers to coordinate delivery of software applications.
• Routine accountability for the delivery of the planned epics and stories.
• Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned consultants.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience with Agile (JIRA), Scaled Agile Methodology, Analytical Skills.
• Financial Services domain expertise, expertise in Payments domain.
• Relevant IT experience (SDLC- Waterfall / Agile).
• Experience in Java/J2EE, Web Services, SQL & PL/SQL (Oracle), DevOps.
• Strong knowledge of XML, JSON and its usage within API and Microservice.
• Familiarity with Eclipse IDE, WebLogic Application server or JBoss.
• Strong experience in Integration Technologies – Mule ESB & IDE or equivalent, previous Middleware experiences.
• Knowledge of Test-Driven Development and Unit Testing (Cucumber/Litmus, JUnit).
• Able to contribute to 1. Automation 2. Causal analysis 3. Develop shared/common solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (both to a technical and non-technical audience).
• Analytical thinking, attention to detail, team leadership, problem solving, innovative thinking, mentoring.
• Operating in a highly Agile continuous integration and continuous deployment environment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• POPM certification.
