The Information Technology Specialist II (ITS II) will serve as a senior functional and technical leader for CalVCB’s mission critical systems and high profile projects within a complex technical environment. This position will primarily function within the Systems Engineering and Information Security Engineering domains.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in participating in the formulation, development, and documentation of the baseline technical architecture and a sustainable target architecture aligned to the Cal-Secure enterprise strategic management plan.
- Experience in developing project timelines, monitoring progress, identifying risks and issues, developing contingency plans, and providing recommendations for solutions to executive staff and program management.
- Experience in collaborating with the CIO, Section Chiefs, the ISO, Executive staff, and Program Management on information technology activities, security goals and objectives, organizational issues, governance, and strategic planning.
This position provides hybrid telework opportunities, with employees required to work in-person at least two days per week.
This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment and once per year. Failure to comply with the Conflict of Interest Code requirements may void the appointment.
