Job Description
Material Management provides expertise in Support of Developing and Establishing Operational Safety, Suitability and Effectiveness Program for the B61-12 Tailkit Assembly (TKA) and associated test assets. Additionally, the candidate will:
- Provide materiel management expertise to the AFNWC/NDS Product Support manager; enable the organization for the proper accounting and control of assets within the program's authority and control.
- Maintain asset management records (DD250) along with configuration control records for USAF-owned NWRM equipment and test assets produced for multiple agencies use.
- Monitor and analyze NNSA-managed Unsatisfactory Reports (URs) process of the gravity weapons stockpile and impacts to the USAF-managed systems for the nuclear gravity weapon programs.
- Provided subject matter expertise to perform track, maintain, and report closure progress of Deficiency Reports (DRs) for USAF-managed equipment. Reviews and validates requirements. When required, initiates follow-up actions on materiel requirements.
- Coordinates equipment transfer actions with the accountable program manager and organization of use; monitors and reports on transportation status of USAF-procured assets.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on USAF-managed Material Management of the B61-12 TKA to identify and report issues that may impact asset availability, weapon movements, or configuration controls for the B61-12 program.
- Mandatory knowledge of USAF materiel management policies and procedures.
- Experience in USAF property accounting, stock and inventory control, accountability, and responsibility principles of property accounting through automated data processing (ADP)
- USAF Equipment and/or Supply (Material Management) with a background in USAF nuclear weapons-related materiel (NWRM)
- Bachelor's degree and eight (8) years of experience OR an associate degree and ten (10) years of experience
- Four or more years of experience in project management or a leadership position
- Experience in Defense Acquisition Logistics and/or USAF life cycle product support is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with standard computer tools (i.e., Microsoft Office) to develop and maintain various electronic files and create various reports.
- An active DoD Secret security clearance
