Location: Chicago

Working model: Hybrid (3 days Client Arlington office) + 2 days WFH

AWS & Java Architect

Experience: 15+ years in java and opensource technologies and 4-5 years as an AWS Architect role

Must have:

1. Certification - AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional
2. Proficiency Java J2EE, Proficiency in Spring boot
3. Proficiency in Spring Cloud Stack or any other microservices platforms such as Cloud Foundry
4. Should have experience on REST web services, Spring, JPA/Hibernate/IBATIS, any Cache framework, MQ framework
5. Experience in DynamoDB, Glue, Kinesis, Athena, Lambda, Cognito, IAM, VPC, Cloud Formation, ECS, Faregate etc.
6. Experience with any 2 estimation methods (MVCP, UCP, FP, COCOMO, WBS etc.)
7. Should have worked with any 2 databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Cassandra etc.)
8. Familiar with DevOps implementation
9. Ability to recommend multiple end-to-end solutions with pros and cons for every aspect
10. Experience and good knowledge in architectural and design patterns
11. Innovative and curious to learn and understand the new/latest technologies
12. Able to work in a team and take ownership of tasks
13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, must have played customer facing roles

Good to have:

1. Experience in any frontend technology like Angular, React, PHP etc.
2. Experience on any 1 of these frameworks (Apache Camel, RedHat Fuse, Alfresco, JBPM/Activiti, DROOLS)
3. Experience on DevOps using tools such as AWS DevOps tools, Jenkins, Bamboo, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible etc.
4. Good knowledge and experience on AWS services such as AWS Data Lake, RedShift, S3
