The Arapahoe County Clerk and Recorder's Office has an opening for a Motor Vehicle Lead depending on qualifications and experience.
The Motor Vehicle Service Lead performs leadership level administrative, and professional work in carrying out a comprehensive public facing service operation. This position specifically leads and supports the work of the Motor Vehicle specialists, which includes vehicle titling, vehicle registration and customer service.

  • This position will be located at our Littleton Office located at 5334 S Prince Street, Littleton, CO 80120
Duties
  • Assist Motor Vehicle customers at the counter, by telephone and mail by providing specific, complete and accurate information.
  • Records, scans and processes documents into Colorado's DRIVES financial vehicle database.
  • Works with customers in a professional and tactful manner to resolve complaints or questions.
  • Leads and supports new and developing employees by delivering on-the-job support; and communicating best practices to staff through engagement and discussions.
  • Keeps up-to-date on state, federal and local statutes, policies and guidelines and incorporates new developments into on-the-job sharing with peers.
  • Leads long and short term projects, as assigned by their Motor Vehicle Supervisor, such as providing support to other motor vehicle specialists, coordinating service coverage, ensuring goals/workloads are being met and making recommendations into process/policy efficiencies.
  • Responsible for leading their teams' daily cash drawer reconciliation process.
  • Responsible for leading their teams' lobby intake, customer traffic flow.
  • Provides clerical and administrative support for the Division as needed.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Any equivalent combination of education and work experience that satisfy the requirements of the job;
  • 3 years of relevant experience; and/or
  • A bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Organizational Leadership or related field
Preferred Experience:
  • Any Continued Education and/or relevant Certifications.
  • Bilingual and/or American Sign Language
  • At least 5 years of motor vehicle registration experience

Supplemental Information

Pre-Employment Additional Requirements:

  • Must successfully pass pre-employment testing which includes an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) and background check.
  • Security clearance required: will require fingerprinting and a Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) background check

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Work is generally confined to a standard office environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
