Reports to: Resident Manager
Hours/Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00pm.
Work environment: Onsite / In-office

About the role:
The Resident Service Coordinator is essential in enhancing the quality of life for residents at Tyler Court Senior Apartments. This role involves fostering strong relationships with residents, addressing their needs, and resolving conflicts to maintain a supportive living environment. The coordinator will work closely with the on-site manager to develop and manage newsletters and community activities. They will advocate for and coordinate access to various resources, supporting residents in achieving long-term housing stability, independence, and self-sufficiency. Additionally, the Coordinator will oversee and implement programs that promote wellness and community integration, ensuring a positive and enriching experience for all residents.
What you'll do:
  • Build and sustain supportive relationships with residents to ensure their social, behavioral, and physical health needs are met effectively.
  • Promote resident engagement in voluntary services and foster respectful behavior to enhance community relations.
  • Collaborate with property management, security, maintenance, and community agencies to create and implement individualized plans for residents facing significant stability challenges, such as recurring lease violations or hoarding.
  • Oversee the delivery of workshops and social programs that aid residents in achieving housing stability and community involvement.
  • Conduct regular visits to resident units to stay connected and reinforce the availability of Resident Services Coordinator support.
  • Advocate for and develop resources by maintaining accurate data and preparing detailed reports on resident activities and outcomes.
  • Review and respond to all emails daily within 24 hours to ensure timely communication.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall success of the community..
Our ideal candidate:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, Behavioral Health, or a related field, or a bachelor's degree in an unrelated field with 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with homeless individuals or other special needs populations.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively relate to and interact with people from diverse cultural, social, and economic backgrounds. Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Proficiency in using telephones, business calculators, copy machines, fax machines, and personal computers, including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A valid driver's license and current auto insurance are required.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and exceptional customer service skills are essential.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening (a conviction does not automatically disqualify you from employment with WSH Management).
